How to Clear History, Cookies, Cache in Chrome

I’ll show you you how to clear out private information (history, cookies, cache, etc) in Google Chrome for both Mac and PC.

MacOS

  1.  At the top of the screen select Chrome -> Preferences
  2. In the left side menu click History
  3. Click Clear All Browsing Data...
  4. Check all boxes if you really want to wipe everything out.  Otherwise choose what information you’d like to delete.  Notice that by default Chrome will only delete the last week of information  so make sure to select From the beginning of time... if you want to delete everything.

Windows

  1. Click on the wrench icon in the right-hand corner and select Options.
  2. Select Under The Bonnet in the left hand menu.
  3. Click Clear Browsing Data... next to Privacy

  4. Check all boxes if you really want to wipe everything out.  Otherwise choose what information you’d like to delete.  Notice that by default Chrome will only delete the last week of information  so make sure to select From the beginning of time... if you want to delete everything.
